Communication

During the Learning By Competing project, there were several opportunities for the partners to discuss the specific experiences of each country involved.  In particular, communication and dissemination activities were carried out through:

Transnational Project Meetings

This section contains information on the transnational project meetings held during the project lifecycle.

Meeting 1 - Paris, France 28th-29th February 2020

The project’s activities were launched at the partnership kick-off meeting, held in the facilities of Honoré de Balzac Model United Nations, in Paris, France, on the 28th and 29th of February 2020 where partners discussed project activities and the timeline.

Meeting 2 – ONLINE 26th October 2020

Due to COVID-19, this meeting was held online. Partners reviewed the implementation of the first two modules and discussed the financial and communication activities undertaken

Meeting 3 – ONLINE 3rd November 2021

Due to COVID-19, this meeting was held online. Partners worked on a further two training modules and on the organization of the first two mobilities to be held in Portugal and Spain.

Meeting 4 - Paris, France 7th-8th July 2022

The project is coming to an end. The partners met in Paris, finally in a face to face meeting to close the project activities and to fulfil the administrative formalities to present the final report. The results of the multiplier events that were organized in the different countries and that involved the general public were also presented. The partners also discussed opportunities for future collaboration!

Dissemination Events

This section contains information on the dissemination events held in each partner country.

Multiplier Event in Portugal

Ovar Forma led the Multiplier Event but counted on the collaboration of the other two Portuguese entities which were part of the consortium – CEPROF and APSU. The venue for this session was Escola Profissional de Espinho.
The event took place on the afternoon of the 22nd June 2022 and involved 20 people. Students were invited to participate and to give feedback about their experience in the project mobilities.
At the end, a practical demonstration of the circuits and the robots used was also available for the attendees to have a clearer idea about the project and its results.

Multiplier Event in Spain

DEFOIN organised the event in one of the classrooms of the centres with which it collaborates in its training provision. 10 students whose courses were related to programming and computer science and 1 teacher participated. The ages of the participants varied.
The event took place on the morning of the 17th June 2022. The main topics covered were the introduction to the LbC project, the results obtained, the materials used, as well as the presentation of the MOOC and the website.

Multiplier Event in Italy

CONFORM organized a Multiplier Event in Italy, in Padua, where the company has its operational headquarters, with the collaboration of Associazione Fantalica, a partner based in the area with which it collaborates on numerous projects with schools.
During the event, which was held on the afternoon of 24th June and involved 40 people, the products realized were presented together with the 3 international mobilities that saw the participation of two Italian
schools, one of which, the Istituto Euganeo, is based in the Veneto Region.

Multiplier Event in England

The event “The role of Competition and Mobility as a new teaching methodology and in the development of trainees’ soft skills (using robotics training)” held online by EU15 on the 10th of AUGUST 2022 – 15.00 – 16.00, with the participation of Prof Dr John-Robert Curtin, The 4Civility Institute, University of Indiana, USA, as guest speaker, was an opportunity to discuss the project results and activities to guarantee their sustainability.
